Let me be very transparent, I have been skeptical about ether because of the 1 ETH mint price in the past.
But they started tweeting for the first time in July 2022 and I wanted to take a closer look. So let me give you my honest thoughts.

Art is subjective, but the artwork quality is absolutley high level and I think most people will enjoy it.
But what stands out for me here are the 500+ traits.

Most bluechips have 200-300 traits. 200 more seems not like a lot?
Well, the possible trait combinations increase significantly by that. But doesn't that make it harder to have a good synergy between all the traits?

If all traits were completely random, yes.
But that's hopefully not how it will work, you can set parameters that don't allow a combination between specific traits.
And viii already hinted about doing that.

If done correctly, the floor could look very clean. And he has been fine-tuning traits for multiple months now.
So I am pretty confident the outcome will look very solid.

Not only the floor artwork matters tho. Having support from whales is a game changer for projects. And you do that by having grails.
Ether will have 95 NFTs with the type "Corrupt". That's a similar number to Spirit Azukis or Kaiju Captainz. Whales will love that.

95% of the sneak peeks have been absolutley insane. But there have been some combinations that didn't fit very well imo (example below).
That's my only concern when it comes to the artwork and I hope they will take their time filtering those combinations out.

Community:
The community is very strong on Twitter and Discord. But community pre-mint ≠community post-mint.
Especially since only 2k supply will be for WL and 8k will go to public mint. But they have a strong core community and that's a good sign.

He has been one of the first phygital artists and I think they will go in this direction with ether.

If I had to guess, I would say a fashion brand is more likely than an anime.
But the quality on everything has been dope so far and I would like to see an anime as well. It's also very likely to happen imo but I doubt it will be close after mint.

Some people told me they will also go in the gaming direction.
This did not come to my mind before doing my research, but I think it's possible if you look at viii's background and which brands he worked with.

They could have easily launched during the last bull and sell out. The hype was there and it wouldn't have been a problem.
But they didn't. They wanted to keep building and that makes me very excited.

Most projects are currently bleeding with the exception of Azuki and Captainz.
Ether is perfectly fitting into the current "art style meta" and I think the artwork alone is enough to perform well on secondary market.
