Threads are generating millions of impressions.

I asked 5 of the best writers how to become even better.

Here’s what they said:
Parts of this thread are paraphrased to make it more digestible.

The question:

“If you could give thread writers ONE TIP… what would it be?” 👇

🔹 Focus on audience retention.

You should aim to do this at least every third tweet of your thread.

Use bullet points, gifs, pictures, numbered lists, or quoted tweets to break up the blocks of text.

🔹Always be level-headed.

Low engagement doesn’t mean you failed and high engagement shouldn’t get you too excited.

Don’t tie your definition of success to engagement numbers but rather to the content.

🔹Have an eye-catching graphic at the start.

To make people stop scrolling you have to grab their attention right away.

After this, draw them in with your hook.

🔹Do what you love

Chances are if something is interesting to you, it will be interesting to other people as well.

If you follow “what works” you will be stuck posting content you don’t really love.

That’s an easy path to a burnout.

🔹Put in effort

People can sense when you put in extra effort and they will respect you for it.

Even if the thread fails to get engagement initially, it enhances your reputation.
