This strike, just days prior to the planned annual May 9 Victory Parade on the Red Square, may force Russia to change its parade plans. Moscow is also contemplating a retaliatory strike that may include more missiles and Shahed drones. 
More videos of this alleged UAV strike are coming in and are posted online. From the explosion, it also appears that the drone may have been shot down by air defenses, but thats ucnlear for now.
The Kremlin says May 9 parade is still "on". Russian Telegram channels are claiming that Putin continues to work as usual, and that May 9 parade is not cancelled. There is now a prohibition on operating a personal drone inside Moscow territory.

Its likely that there will be additional air defenses/EW around Moscow to prevent a repeat of this strike, likely at the expense of other Russian regions and key sites. There is certainly a serious psychological impact, although its unclear how long it will last.
To the point - there was also an apparent overnight drone strike on an oil storage facility in Russia's Krasnodar region. One drone was intercepted and one appeared to hit the target. t.me/boris_rozhin/84574
Russia's Vladimir Kozhin, the first deputy head of the defense committee of the Federation Council: "Russia has every opportunity to counter threats from unmanned aerial vehicles, we will strengthen these defenses many times over." 
...and here is a question of scale - can air defenses be "everywhere all at once"? There are also obvious questions about two men who are on top of the dome during the alleged strike. They could be part of the security team or they can be part of what many are now hinting is a potential "false flag" operation.
The men climb the dome during the second UAV strike - they may in fact be part of the security detail or to inspect any damage from the first strike attempt. They appear not be be affected too much by the damaged drone.

In response to yesterday's attack, the Russian government prohibited unsanctioned drone flying in many regions - map below. 
Apparently, the drones that attacked Kremlin yesterday were flying low above ground and were sighted on approach in the Moscow region, but the authorities supposedly ignored people’s alarming calls. t.me/dronesrussia/22179 
Russian Telegram is fuming over the drone attack, calling out theft in the defense-industrial sector, and for removal of MOD and civilian officials in charge of security and responsible for import-substitution.
