My friend Casey Muratori has an article about Semantic Compression and you can read it. He talks all about a similar process to what I've just discussed with a user interface example. Check this out, I promise it's a really good way to program. Once you learn how to program this way, a lot of things become a lot easier. Quality of life goes way up because you don't have to tear up things that you wrote all the time.
