Stephen Colbert: What percentage of Republicans actually believe the [that Trump won the 2020 election]? A vast majority of them say they believe it... Liz Cheney: Elected Republicans? Maybe five. Not very many actually believe what Trump is saying. -- I've heared this revelation from multiple people who've been ejected from the Republican tribe for not towing the Trump won the election line. The lies are part of a show, not what people believe or think. I find this dynamice super concering to me, because the times I've gone along with the lie even when knowing it was a lie, it always ended terribly at the end; degrading my character and resulting in unpleasant consequences. For my little life it was small potatoes to this same dynamic now played out at a national scale in the Republican party.
