There is a soft spot in my heart for the work of Proust, ‘Remembrance of Things Past.’ Sure, you could read just the first part ‘Swann’s Way’ and get the gist, but it really gets good in ‘Sodom and Gomorrah’ and ‘The Lovely Captive.’

Whenever this comes up at the bookstore I like to recommend SWANN'S WAY by Marcel Proust, which is way more ebullient and entertaining than we all think it is! And I'll be the 19th vote in this thread for MOBY DICK. 😄 🐳
