Cannot put it down, I've lost hours of work for this book. Exceptional so far

The Emperor of All Maladies, it's a biography of cancer, spanning the very earliest surving stories to the edge of modern research. And it's riveting, each wrong assumption, each life, the author himself is an oncologist and you can really tell how much he cares about this topic.

I'm probably a bit biased but IMO his first one, The Emperor of All Maladies (for which he got a Pulitzer prize) is even better.

If you have any interest in Biology or Cancer I would highly recommend ‘The Emperor of All Maladies’ or ‘The Gene’ by Siddhartha Mukherjee. They’re not small reads but they manage to convey an infectious fascination with biology. Lovely books!

wow. this book. 👌 Incredible story interleaving the histories of chemotherapy, mastectomies, radiation, tobacco, and so much more. The pulitzer prize is well deserved. Highly recommended.
