Ari Melenciano is a Brooklyn-based artist, creative technologist and researcher who is passionate about exploring the relationships between various forms of design and the human experience. Much of her work and research lies at the intersection of human-computer interactive technologies, culture, speculative design and experimental pedagogy. Ari is a recent graduate and research fellow of NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP). She is currently an adjunct professor at ITP and NYU's Photography department. She is founder of the social institution, Afrotectopia, which is most commonly experienced via their annual New Media Arts, Culture and Technology Festival.
