Golan Levin is an artist and engineer interested in exploring new modes of reactive expression by creating artwork that responds to a stimulus. Through performances, digital artifacts, and virtual environments, Levin applies creative twists to digital technologies that highlight our relationship with machines. Levin's work has been exhibited at the Whitney Biennial and the New Museum of Contemporary Art, among other venues in New York; the InterCommunication Center in Tokyo; and the ZKM in Karlsruhe, Germany, to name only a few. He is an Associate Professor of Electronic Art, with courtesy appointments in Computer Science and Design, at Carnegie Mellon University. You can learn more by visiting his website at flong.com.

An integral part of the educational mission of Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, the Visiting Artist-Scholar-Designer Program fosters vision, creativity and innovation by bringing leading national and international artists, scholars and designers to campus. The guests engage with RMCAD students and faculty through private events, such as studio visits, gallery talks and workshops that provide direct access to contemporary art, design and culture through an inspiring comparative framework. The VASD Program at RMCAD ultimately serves the entire community by hosting a free public evening lecture given by each distinguished guest. The videos included in the VASD video channel are a living archive of these free public presentations.
