Mind-blowing book. Best exploration of "what happens if we upload our minds" that I've read yet.

It’s fantastic! I don’t think any other novel has given me as much of the almost physical sensation of having my mind stretched and twisted.

Diaspora (1997) is excellent zoom-out sci fi. Impressive that it was written 26 years ago -- feels particularly worth reading now.

Diaspora by Greg Egan, a hard scifi masterpiece. A story that spans such an incredible amount of time it's kind of hard to even comprehend.
