No hurray. Email is not distributed anymore. You just cannot create another first-class node of this network.

An interesting essay on the difficulties of self-hosting email. I don't exactly agree with all of it, but would certainly not choose to self-host email in 2022 (or 2012) for commanding majority of enthusiasts or businesses. Some thoughts:
