If you've got Disney+ I can highly recommend Light & Magic. I'm on episode 3, seeing behind the scenes, how the groundbreaking effects were created and the start of computer graphics, must watch:

There was a bit in the Disney docco about Industrial Light & Magic about the origin of Adobe through Photoshop. The bit was they whipped the demo (rendering images to a screen) in like a day.
