That's the problem with memories, you cry even when they're beautiful.

Finally got round to seeing Aftersun and my word it was worth it. A beautiful and totally original film featuring two outstanding lead performances. Wonderfully subtle but intensely moving - a triumph.

Just saw #aftersunmovie #aftersun @cineworld and it’s a movie I definitely need to watch again to fill in all the pieces. It wasn’t until I left the cinema I got most of it. It’s a film I can’t stop thinking about and very powerful. Terrific performances and extremely well made.

Charlotte Wells has an artistic eye in #AftersunMovie seamlessly interweaving the past and present storylines. The symbolism of the present timeline is genius yet haunting. The staging of Aftersun makes you forget you are watching acting. The dialogue strikes when it needs to do.

#AftersunMovie is absolutely mesmerising. A beautiful father and daughter storyline with an underlying message on male mental health and anxiety that is subtle yet masterfully portrayed. Mescal and Corio are sublime. It puts life into perspective and is a transformative watch.

Just came out of Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun… One of the most achingly beautiful movies I’ve seen in a long time. Definitely hit close to home. I think that might be my favourite movie of the year. Incredible. #AftersunMovie
