Presenting Topically by Cohere AI

Topically is a suite of tools that help make sense of text collections (messages, articles, emails) using large language models.

It is the part of the sandbox project by Cohere AI.

Topically comes up with the following features out-of-the-box:

1. Detect and name clusters of short texts based on their content.

2. Use it with topic modeling with tools like BERTopic to improve on the keyword topic labels.

Example-1: Identifying topics from the news headlines of the machine learning and investing subreddits.

Example-2: Use topically with BERTopic to identify the clusters and improve on the topic names.

How does it work?

Topically uses a generative language model to assign a name to the text cluster. It sends a request to Cohere's managed model and gets the output.

It generates the titles using a couple of bundled prompts. For better results, you can even edit the prompts.

All you need to try this interesting tool is cohere's API key and a few lines of Python code.
