The most important skill you’ve never been taught in school:

Storytelling

10 framework to make you better storyteller:

🧵
There isn't anyone you couldn't learn to love once you heard their story.

So storytelling is really important in life, business, relationships.
1. Your story moment:

Look for the moments of your own life that are interesting, emotional and meaningful.

Keep a journal to write your everyday life.

You will be shocked by how many great moments you have everyday.
By writing everyday, you will see how fast you can create stories(out of blue)
2. Hook

Start with a dramatic sentence or unusual situation.

This is where you make your audience hooked for rest of your story.

Make them "why is this happening, who is he, what is he doing there"

In simple - make them curious.
3. Show, don't tell

Don't just tell your story, show them.

Let them experience the emotions, thoughts and actions.

Here's how you can use this in speech, writing, business, etc...
4. The 5 Ws Framework

When I was bad(really bad) at telling stories.

I didn't know how to start a story.

Then I asked my friend (he was a really good storyteller).

He gave me a long masterclass on storytelling.

I made it short for you all, see image below:
5. Road Blocks

Conflict carries stories.

My dad was so hooked when Steve Job's Iphone demo failed. He wanted to know how will they solve this now.

People wanna know how you overcome problems.

Introduce new conflicts as others are resolved (to keep listeners hooked)
6. Give them 2+2 not 4

When I told my stories to my friends, they always told me "your story is a bit boring, boy"

I was doing something wrong.

Turns out, I revealed everything (by myself).
One important thing was missing:

-Make the listener put things together.

Don't give them 4, give them 2+2.

In simple don't reveal everything, make them WONDER and put things together themselves.
8. PIE Framework

Most effective stories have these in common.

They:
-Persuade
-Inform
-Entertain

Did the story make you laugh (Entertain)
Did the story teach you something (Inform)
Did the story change your opinion (Persuade)
9. Make me care

Make your listener care emotionally.

Talk about your:
-struggles
-dark times
-insecurities and flaws

Be vulnerable, most people think it's week(but it's NOT)
10. Last but not least.

Here's Pixar full storytelling framework:
TL;DR
