Good problem-solving is a process.

But, 90% of companies suck at it, so they pay $200k+ to consultants.

Here are 10 ways to think like a McKinsey consultant:
1. To think like a consultant, sometimes it requires a shift of mindset.

To do so, you should work on:

A healthy obsession to approach things better

The willingness to be open-minded
2. Discover the problem and make sure you aren’t putting a band-aid on a symptom.

Don’t skip ahead to the problem

Never jump to solutions.
3. Improvement involves feedback and the continuity of practice.

The process is an endless cycle that ceases to end.
4. Challenge your hypotheses.

It can move your brain into discovery mode,

Challenge your current thoughts.
5. Widen your data sources pool.

Realize that some data sources have limitations.
6. Intuition is just as important as facts.

Take what you know about the problem + your gut feelings

Think about what the answers could be.
7. Make sure you do your research.

It’s not about getting as much information as possible.

It’s more about getting the most important information as soon as you can.
8. There’s a story behind the data, make sure you tell it.

Learn to see through your client’s eyes

Begin to speak their language.
9. Begin with the conclusion.

Don’t overpromise on your execution.

If so, you’re destined to underdeliver.
10. Make sure you respect your time.

Delegate the load

Do frequent checks on your sanity.
That's all guys
