Naming a familiar but not-quite-defined idea can change how you think about it. “Discovery fiction” did this for me in writing, and @michael_nielsen just wrote a great essay summarizing it. Note, it shows why longer work is not necessarily more verbose.

It was fun illustrating the example from @stevenstrogatz's great article "Loves me, loves me not, do the math" with pi creatures for the recent video. It's such a delightful narrative to wrap around the equations of cyclical dynamics.

The three videos of this series out so far offer a lovely introduction to some of the main ideas in topology, and are clearly animated with love and care! I keep seeing so many good up-and-coming math channels, it seems math YouTube is on a path to a golden age.
