Andrew J. Caughey

Three years of progressive experience administering State Department cultural exchanges and public diplomacy introduced me to the complexities and challenges of public policy. At the University of Chicago, I’ve developed strong research skills in both data analysis and qualitative methods that help me better understand, communicate, and confront policy challenges through data-driven analysis and deep-dive case studies. As an Applied Data Fellow, I'm using that skillset in my year-long fellowship to improve data collection, analysis, and program evaluation for the Chicago Botanic Garden's public health programming, youth outreach, and job training initiatives for formerly incarcerated persons in Chicago.
