Important thread. In my experience, way too many academics respond by (1) denying this happens very often (it does); (2) defending this sort of treatment (thank you for your honesty?); or (3) simply mocking people for caring about it (grow up).
Congrats to John Kekes on his excellent new book on conservatism. It offers a compelling, moderate, modest conservative political philosophy, one that differentiates itself from the radical forces on both the right and the left. Highly recommend.
