Christoph Räth received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Munich, Germany, in 1994 and 1998, respectively.,He was with the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, Garching, Germany, from 1998 until 2013. Since 2014, he has been with the German Aerospace Center, Weßling, Germany, where he is currently with the Institute of Materials Physics in Space. His current research interests include complex systems and their analyses with (higher order) statistical measures. He is particularly interested in the phenomena of self-organization and phase transition. His research activities also encompass astrophysics and medical physics.
