The reason we don’t have Legionella disease anymore is because we adapted our buildings to it (great thread below) Also, did you know Malaria was endemic in Italy? (green area in the map below) Thankfully, people at the time didn’t think it was inevitable

I'm old, so I used to work making buildings safe from airborne pathogens like Legionella. Do you know why you don't keep catching Legionella?

One of the persistent reasons for engineer griping about the recruiting experience is there is a gulf between the median engineer and the median recruiter in… a lot of factors… at companies which have a high bar for engineers.
