Admitted to École normale supérieure in 1993. Received various degrees and licenses in mathematics and physics from Paris Diderot University, Pierre and Marie Curie University, and Paris-Sud University. Obtained his doctorate from École polytechnique with a thesis on structure theorems for compact symplectic manifolds. Completed habilitation at Paris-Sud University with a thesis on approximately holomorphic techniques and monodromy invariants in symplectic topology.
