Francesca Paris is a data journalist who started her career in public radio. She worked as a producer for NPR in Washington and WBUR in Boston. In 2020, she gave up minutes for inches and moved to North Adams, the smallest city in Massachusetts. There, she reported for The Berkshire Eagle, where she became the newspaper’s first data reporter. She grew up in Oakland, Calif., and studied statistics and Arabic at Williams College. She likes to read, snowboard and play an occasional game of chess.
