Raised in Westchester, New York. Graduated from Colorado College with a BA in English. Worked in marketing at CBS/Epic Records and co-founded her first band, Crotch. Moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she started the Jenny Clinkscales Band and later a solo project, 60 Foot Queenie.
