Meinhard E. Mayer

He was born in Cernăuți in March 18, 1929. He experienced the Soviet occupation of Northern Bukovina and deportation to the Transnistria Governorate as a Jew. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Bucharest in 1957 and taught there until 1961.
