Patricia J. Robinson, PhD, has explored integrated care from the perspective of a clinician, researcher, trainer, and health care consultant for the past twenty years. Current activities include providing consultation services to health care systems that are (1) integrating behavioral health services into primary care, (2) seeking to improve treatment of chronic pain, chronic disease and care to children, women, and/or the elderly, and / or (3) attempting to increase use of brief evidence based cognitive behavioral therapies in primary care and other medical settings.
She is an author of five books, including Behavioral Consultation and Primary Care: A Guide to Integrating Services (with Jeffrey T. Reiter) (Springer, 2007), The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Depression (with Kirk Strosahl) (New Harbinger, 2008), and Real Behavior Change in Primary Care: Strategies and Tools for Improving Patient Outcomes and Increasing Job Satisfaction (New Harbinger, 2011), as well as numerous other articles and book chapters.
