Holder of a master's degree in public law from ESSEC business school and a doctorate in political science. Worked as the cabinet logistical head of the Secretariat of State for Immigrants and served on the Stasi Commission and the board of the Cité Nationale de l'Histoire de l'Immigration. Resigned from these positions in protest against the creation of a ministry of immigration and national identity.
