A storyteller from a young age, he penned his first story, "Lizard Men From the Center of the Earth," in third grade. As a comic geek, he created hero characters and submitted comic book scripts to Marvel Comics. Received encouraging rejection letters from Jim Shooter and Tom DeFalco, leading him to continue honing his craft.
