Abubakar Malami, born in 1967 to a Fulani Muslim family in Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria, began his journey in law at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, graduating in 1991. Called to the bar the following year, he further pursued a Master's in Public Administration at the University of Maiduguri in 1994.
