This piece by @anneapplebaum strikes me as very important too. "The paradigm has shifted and the story has changed. The old 'normal' is not coming back."

This article is so sad and so important. Ordinary people, untrained in war, are finding themselves at the front lines. They're dying. I suspect it won't be long before other countries, beyond Ukraine, are impacted in this same way.
