Have you ever taken against a book, given up on it, but then, at another time in your life, given it another shot and loved it?

Vikram Seth’s A Suitable Boy. Gave up the first time because the opening is so slow and Mrs Rupa Mehra is a boring and unsympathetic character. Picked it up again later and read it twice straight through over a period of months.

Book May 1, 1993
A Suitable Boy (A Bridge of Leaves, #1)
