Interesting NYT piece by a journalist who banked at SVB and has a near total lack of understanding of what caused its downfall.

Thought-provoking piece. Perhaps it’s time to eliminate licensing requirements for VCs (or at least free up some existing licenses that have been in the same hands for decades) so that new potential VCs like this fellow can try their hand.

Google's preference for 'life story before recipe' (and corresponding penalization of 'just the recipe') format has caused a grotesque distortion of the entire category. I'm reminded of @G_S_Bhogal's excellent 'Perils of Audience Capture' piece.

This is the classic book on the topic.
