This guide covers almost all of my workflow with DALL-E 2 (so far), however it’s
a condensed guide – not an extensive history. The vast majority of the guides
size comes from large images plastered on every page, so don’t let the page
count intimidate you!
With that said, it’s still a 10-15 minute read from front to back (including this

page right now), so if you’re pressed for time and just want a simple run-
through of outcropping, steps 1-7 covers all of the basics enough for you to get

started and takes around 5-7 minutes. Step 8 is a quick refresher if you’ve read
through 1-6 before and forgotten some steps.
Steps 9 and 10 are bonus/advanced techniques that build on the previous
steps, would recommend reading the earlier steps first.
If you are completely new to using DALL-E 2 outcropping (or just curious about
my specific workflow), I’d recommend giving it all a read as I’ve included a few
tricks I’ve learned that make outcropping a mostly painless experience – far
less painful than lining images up in Microsoft Office Word anyway.

great write up! fwiw: your process is a bit different from mine - i generally create a transparent png in photoshop as that will generally set an exact pixel-perfect in-painting area. i also put a lot of care in making sure the in-painting area lines up to 16x16 tile boundaries.
