The best book is factfulness and key thing never just believe anything. Always fact check and opinions can be one sided

I've recommended this to so many people. In some ways Enlightenment Now by Steven Pinker is more insightful but Factfulness is more convincing. I'd recommend trying that next!

Just finished Factfulness by @HansRosling. What an incredible book. I usually read about management, sales, writing, etc so this is outside my usual genres and I’m so glad I picked it up. Highly recommend.

It's one of my favorite books ever.

Flips your global worldview in the first chapter and continues to show you facts on why media and educated people score worse than chimpanzees when tested on the current state of the world.

These two books should be required reading in high school There is so much about the world that needs fixing, and those issues get their due attention But there are so many REMARKABLE improvements in the quality of human life, too The optimist framing is invaluable
